Newcastle vs. Limassol on nights out

26 Sep 2008 In: Newcastle

So my night began at a flat mates dorm. She came during the day kocking on doors in our block to invite us over for some drinking games at around 9ish. Two of my flat mates and I decided to go. Being a Cypriot, freezing to death already in England, I wore jeans, a top and had a scarf and a light jacket on. My two flat mates? They were wearing mini skirts and little tank tops which shocked me at first but then as I was walking through the streets of the big metropolitan city heading to the club later, I noticed I was possibly the only one wearing something warm. One of my flat mates said to me “It’s okay, you’ll get used to it, English girls would rather freeze than hold their coat in a club!”. Read the rest of this entry »

Pub Crawl on Campus

20 Sep 2008 In: Roehampton

It was a quiet evening when i got told there was a pub crawl on campus. Bored, i got to the first bar of the night; Phase one, full of familiar faces but mostly new. The amount of good looking women encouraged me to continue drinking and getting to know everyone but after two hours the bar shut and told us all to move to the “belfry bar”.

Phase two, i carried on drinking whilst playing pool at the belfry, occasionally looking around for people to chat to when my friend informed me that there is a hot Cypriot girl outside i have to meet. After clumsily walking outside I attempted to speak Cypriot with the girl but ended up speaking English. I told her about London (kinda scared her a bit) but after that she got clingy to me so i moved out. An hour or so later the bar shut and told us to move to “froebal bar”.

Phase three, pissed as a fart i continued drinking. I then noticed a gay friend of mine who i haven’t seen in a while so i said hi (also because he was surrounded by hot chicks). The conversation led to me saying that a lot of english girls are skanks. Slightly offended he told one of his pretty hot female friends what i just said, and thats where it happened. She looked at me and decided that she should flash her breasts at me twice, one for me and one for a photo . She made my night, soon afterwards i got up and went to my friends new house to see them and then went home. I awoke several hours later with a hangover.

Re-freshing In Manchester

20 Sep 2008 In: Manchester

Being a second year student, I decided to go along to the opening of one of my favourite bars, the Grovel, to see what mischief the first night would provide…

With a great deal of nostalgia and flashbacks from what I thought I couldn’t remember from last year, we proceeded to drink and be merry with the new ‘fresher’ students who had only moved in several hours before. As nobody really knew anybody else, people were always up to meeting and chatting to others about things that carried almost no meaning to anyone. These two factors, alcohol and eagerness to meet new people, we didn’t get much further than the residence, that the bar is located inside of, till closing time.

My suggestion to all new (and old students) : Get your asses up and off to any public place this week, even if you are as shy as a sheep. After all, its freshers week ;)
